Questions about printing
What paper does it use?
Standard US letter paper (8½ × 11 inches). The member PDF is two pages, or one page if you choose the shorter edition. Black-and-white printing works fine; the color is only a few accents.
How big is the type?
Members choose: 11.5-point type (a little larger than most newspaper text) on two pages, 10.5-point to fit more, or true large print at 18 points in a single column, which runs to about five pages. On screen, you can make any edition as large as you like with your browser’s zoom.
Can I choose what’s on the pages?
Members pick their sections (the world, Washington, your money, health, defense, American life, sports) and can add up to five topics of their own, such as China, Medicare or their state. The pages are then laid out around those choices each morning.
Where does the news come from?
From major news organizations and official sources, named on every item. Editions are researched and written with AI assistance and checked twice against those sources. Read how each edition is made.
