Large-print daily news, ready to print each morning
Newspaper type is usually small and packed into narrow columns. By Sunup’s large-print edition sets the day’s news in 18-point type in a single, wide column, so it’s comfortable to read on paper.
What “large print” means here
- 18-point body text, the size many large-print guidelines recommend, with bigger headlines.
- One column per page: no jumping between narrow columns, and no words broken across lines.
- Nothing tiny. Even the source lines and page numbers are at least 11 points.
- US letter paper, black text on white, with just a few color accents. It prints fine in black and white.
Because larger type takes more room, the full edition runs to about five pages, and the shorter edition to about three.

What’s in each edition
The bottom line first, in four sentences; then the world, Washington, your money, health and science, American life and sports; what’s on today’s calendar; and one good thing to end on. Every item is checked against at least two independent news reports and names its sources. More about the printed edition.
Questions
Can I print it for someone with low vision?
Yes. Sharing an occasional printed copy with family is fine, and communities may print for their residents under our terms. See how it works for senior-living communities.
Is there a size between regular and large print?
Yes. Members can also choose 11.5-point type, a little larger than most newspaper text, which keeps the edition to two pages.
Is the email itself large print?
The email uses large, comfortable text on screen, and your email program can enlarge it further. The large-print setting applies to the printable PDF.
